He was human, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's in a similar situation to mine. Our current bodies don't reflect our inner selves, so we appear human in the shared dreams.

Sort of, yes. When we talked here, he was calm and felt he knew me as a friend even though he didn't remember how. Regardless, I will be there as soon as I can if necessary.[ There's a small pause that feels like hesitation.
